Can I remain fully clothed for my acupuncture session?
Yes, in almost all cases we are using points from hands to elbows or feet to knees.
In some cases you may be asked to remove part of your clothes to access other points that are beneficial for your treatment.
Appropriate draping and privacy will be provided
How long does each acupuncture session take?
It depends on the condition, but we found an hour treatment time which includes history and pulse taking the most beneficial.
How much will my session cost?
Private Sessions are $75 per hour and ACC approved treatments have a $45 surcharge.
Is it safe to have acupuncture when you are pregnant?
It is not only safe but good to have acupuncture during pregnancy to help with certain issues that come up during and after pregnancy.
I am on medication – is it safe for me to have acupuncture treatment?
Acupuncture is generally safe with almost all prescriptions; let us know what you are taking at the first visit.
Will I be able to drive after my acupuncture session?
Yes you will be able to drive; it is good to have had something to eat 1hr prior to the treatment.
Is acupuncture painful?
It is not painful; however you will feel sometimes a little prick when the needle is inserted.
Can I bring my children with me?
You are welcome to bring children, however to get the added benefit of relaxation that acupuncture provides it might be better to have the hour to yourself.
Is acupuncture suitable for the elderly and infirm?
We have successfully treated patients between 5 and 95 years of age.
I have a heart condition – am I still able to have acupuncture therapy?
Definitely; just let us know what medication you are on as some might make you more susceptible to bruising.
Do I need to prepare before my acupuncture session?
Come in 5 minutes early to relax; make sure you have had something to eat and drink beforehand.
Is your therapy space and equipment clean and hygienic?
We are using disposable needles and sterilise equipment between patients.
Am I able to book a session after work hours?
We have after hour clinic times available; enquire about times.
