Unfortunately, the world we live in promotes stress and devalues relaxation. For those of us who work 9-5 jobs, who struggle with deadlines, who juggle family life with corporate expectations, who work every hour possible yet still struggle to scrape by: acupuncture can help. The most difficult part of relieving stress and treating stress-related conditions is quite simply having the ability to recognize when you are becoming stressed in the first place! In general, acupuncture is understood to stimulate the nervous system, releasing neurochemical molecules. This results in biochemical changes that in turn influence the body’s homeostatic mechanisms, promoting physical and emotional well-being. We work closely with each patient to identify the particular symptoms and related conditions that they may be experiencing, and we tailor each therapy to concentrate on the area affected. Acupuncture is a gentle, relaxing alternative to medication with success across a wide range of stress-related conditions.
